Look how well it worked for Pat Robertson, and he had three million volunteers working for him.
Yeah, Christian voters prefer an adulterous church avoider as president. Someone certainly not thoughtful enough to articulate his spiritual beliefs. No, they prefer to watch the porn star payoff man demonstrate his beliefs.
Maybe they just prefer God’s vessels to be flawed, so they don’t have to look at their own lives.
Here I’m optimistic. Getting a new party on the ballot is hard. It doesn’t just take money, but also top election law legal talent in every state. And that talent is mostly in the hands of the major parties. Past experience is that new third parties rarely succeed in putting it together, especially in swing states. Pennsylvania’s Democratic Party will hire staff to question the validity of every signature on Cornel West’s petitions. They may also find some missed deadline.
And they love his playground-style childish insults. Also his blatant hatred towards immigrants and anyone not (or pretending to be) heterosexual.
These “christians” love, love, love the hatred.
Absolutely agree with you, though there is absolutely 0% chance of it happening.
Hell I’d put higher odds on Trump choosing Pence again as running mate, just to see him grovel and have Pence apologize unreservedly for that time Trump tried to have him torn apart by his angry mob.
Moot now. Pence has called it.
Former Vice President Mike Pence suspended his 2024 presidential campaign Saturday, with his campaign running low on money and the Republican Party moving in a different direction than the longtime Indiana conservative.
JohnT posted the announcement three days and ten posts ago.
Obviously Pence never had any chance at the Republican nomination. None. Zero. If the top dozen alt-Trump candidates were struck by lightning, he still wouldn’t get the nod.
However, by dropping out of the Republican race he soars to the top of the list as an independent!
And now Trump says he wants Pence’s endorsement. If he gets it, well…it’s an open question who has a firmer grip, Mother or Donald. Not that Mother would hate for him to slide back into Trump’s orbit of power.
These people exhaust me.
I support him, too, because he will divide the Republican party and help keep our present administration in office. That’s why he won’t do it.
