I Think I Know Why God Doesn't Heal Amputees

WHy do I get the feeling you are an atheist in disguise? lol Nothing you have said has came off as sincere or honest.

Show me the newspaper reports. Show me the doctor’s notes about how this person was dying and common remission or doctor’s error couldn’t account for it. Then show me that the healing wasn’t the result of psychic powers, travelers from the future, space-aliens, mutant-healing-factors, ninja-spiritualism, orgone, hakuna-matata, or any number of other nonsense factors.

The bible prophecy was vague and humans caused it to happen. No one was teleported to Israel.

Not at all. I base my world-view on evidence. You base it on a book that was written by stinking primitives who thought that π was 3.

Doesn’t it?

I don’t know. I’m not wearing a yarmulke at the moment. But that’s only because I forgot to put it back on after taking a short nap.

Last time I checked, I also kept kosher, had a mezzuzah by the front door, said prayers several times a day, and believed firmly in the existence of G-d.

Actually, that kind of hurts.

What personal attack ? I fired at your argument and rhetoric in this thread so far, not at you personally. I don’t *know *you, how would I go about making personal attacks ?

HIPPA laws would prevent me from accessing that kind of information. But here’s a story with medical pictures. If that doesn’t satisfy ya, I don’t know what will.

And I explained why specific prophecy in the OT would be meaningless. So the Jews forced themselves to go through the Holocaust just to fullfill prophecy?

You called me a whiner. I take that as a personal insult.

Other people have suffered strokes and not been horribly defected. A person can have an intruding injury to their brain and be fine, while another can be hit on the skull with a beer bottle and die or suffer permanent deficit. It’s random chance.

Someone having a stroke and having minimal damage is hardly a miracle. Being beheaded in a car accident and your body putting your head back on would be a miracle.

So God forced Hitler to kill 6 million Jews and 5 million others as window dressing, just so His prophecy could be fulfilled?

Your God is a real piece of shit. Especially if He’s omnipotent.

No law prevents Alan Moore from signing a release letting his whole file be published by anybody who wants to see it. So, where’s the file?

We were scattered and persecuted long before the Holocaust.

LOL, you didn’t even bother to read the story, did you? I would have to at least get my friend to sign a release, and he would tell me to stop messing with those internet atheists.

Ah. And your answer to being called a whiner is to whine some more ? Bold move, man. Bold move.

Yes, I read the story.

Either his story is proof of something and can be backed by evidence, or it isn’t.

If it is, then provide the evidence.

If it is not, then what is the point of putting on a website or mentioning it? Just preaching to the choir?

Why is leaving the hospital nine days later with minimal damage after a stroke a miracle. That’s a pretty piss-poor miracle.

So no, a moderately unlikely response to a stroke doesn’t prove your God exists. Why on Earth would it? You do understand that even if God doesn’t exist, unlikely events will still happen, right?

If one bullet in a thousand jams, and I shoot a thousand people, one guy is gonna be convinced it’s a miracle. But it’s just random chance.

Would you prefer I leave? I can do that.

I would prefer you present a challenging, well structured argument instead of the usual pattern of drive-by proselytism/bellyaching/leaving in a huff we’re used to here, actually.

But you don’t fill me with hope, I gotta be honest.

I understand why you’d want to. You’re realizing that you don’t actually have any evidence and it’s picking at your belief.

Step into the light. Most of us were like you once.

Step into the atheist lighthouse.

We’d prefer you discuss the subject you purport to be interested in, examine the data presented, and provide the data to support your claims, or modify them according to the evidence.

Oh, and facts are important. Wild speculation, faithful proselytizing, religious dogma, and wishful thinking, not so much.

Again, this is how you immediately discount ANY medical miracle. Oh, It’s just random chance. I suspect Mr. Moore’s doctor would disagree especially since he personally called it a miracle. Why didn’t he discount it if this was just normal human behavior?
How convenient that atheists have such broad escape routes in any Christian argument.

BTW, where is your concrete evidence that there is no life after death? Please proof this to me so I can let go of this mental delusion I apparently share with millions of other people whose lives have been transformed by the power of Jesus Christ!

I would gladly do this if I had a non-biased audience who doesn’t demonstrate 100% rejection rate of Christian apologetics.

Not at all. My frustration meter is pretty high though. Why do you ask for evidence that you plan on rejecting anyways?

Becoming an atheist would be stepping into the darkness giving Satan ultimate victory. It’s no surprise that the darkness doesn’t respond nicely when someone presents the light of Jesus Christ.

What audience did you start this thread for? What audience do you continue to post for?
