Personally, I don’t believe a word of the Bible until it is supported by external evidence like archaeology or contemporaneous documents. But even if it was 100% fictitious, there is still a moral dimension to how people talk about it. Hannibal Lector is a fictional character, but I would be disgusted by anyone who defended his behavior. It’s not just about whether things actually happened, it’s about how your view of the story reflects on your sense of morality.

There is an entire field of archaeology called biblical archaeology. I guess that is just fiction, and they have NEVER found anything to support the Bible? LOL

People are supposed to take you seriously when you say things like this:

A tribe of people practiced child sacrifice of some of their children (which I don’t condone one iota), so it’s morally justified to kill ALL of their children. I take back any positive comment I may have made about you in this thread. It’s taking every ounce of my being to keep from flagrantly breaking the rules of this forum again. I respect the spirit of this forum as a place to exchange ideas, not invective, so I do not intend to respond to you again. I recognize it my own shortcoming that I cannot engage with you without becoming emotional, but I also think it’s a waste of effort to try to convince you of your folly. I hope in time you come to recognize the inherent value of human life and the source of true morality.

But how about we discount your particularly thuggish view of god and go back to your OP and answer some of my original questions. Though to be fair Marley and others have been asking more recently than I have so I’m willing to wait until you answer their questions.

1. Decaying DNA - go forth and bring evidence of such
   1a. Might as well define “decay” as well
   1b. For kicks describe the biological mechanism driven by “sin”
2. Explain declining health issues co-incidental to a modern diet and contrast with subsistence diet and equatorial health issues.

Well, let’s see. I’m afraid there’s a problem with your reading of the Bible; namely, it outright says who it is that’s going to fulfil the prophecy being made, and it’s not Alexander, it’s Nebuchadnezzar (presumably this one, given the dates of Ezekiel’s and his lives match up, but of course it could be any future Nebuchadnezzar). The prophecy also declares that the city shall never be rebuilt, which it has, and exists to this day.

This of course doesn’t necessarily make the prophecy false - perhaps sometime in the future, another Nebuchadnezzar will come and destroy the place, leaving nothing but ruins for all time. But Alexander’s explicitly not the guy who did it - the prophecy is far too specific for it to be him.

Hold up, your original counter was the the Bible prophecies were “too vague”. I provided one with specific details, and instead of admitting you are wrong, you retreat to another prophecy which may appear false on the surface.

The prophecy states that many nations will come against Tyre, not just Nebuchadnezzar.

All that leaves you with is that someone established a small city and decided to give it the same name. The city was obliterated, and you can’t even find any ruins left to what was once a major city. If the city was restored as before, then you would have a solid argument.
Regardless, this is an example of specific prophecy fullfilled, history backs it up, and you can not deny this fact.

We’re on page 9 and that hasn’t happened, so I see no reason to continue enabling it. This is locked.
