I already did that. I posted references showing that a heart healthy diet considers of extremely low fat content and high doses of fruits and veggies.
Heck, this guy even shows pictures of before and after angiograms of people who follow his diet in his book:
As for Mosaic law, there are many references out there stating that the Bible was thousands of years ahead of science in terms of preventing disease.
Could you explain exactly what the harm is, among consenting adults? I’m genuinely curious.
It does seem to happen rather a lot in the Old Testament, often with no bad consequences.
Strange, but I don’t see “bacteria” or “viruses” mentioned anywhere in the bible. Doesn’t God know about these? Why didn’t He tell us? Why are we told that disease is caused by demons and non-belief?
If God told Jews about how to prevent disease, then why aren’t kosher-keeping Jews healthier than non-kosher, non-believers?
And sex with multiple partners can be fun. Is all fun sinful? If so, I highly recommend sin as the new recreation! Sin-City, here we come!
I see, so the Jews were never persecuted and never became a nation again, and Israel is a small unimportant nation that no one cares about these days. lol
Maybe if I tell myself that eating pizza is good for me over and over, it will make it true just like saying there is no God. Worth a try, right?
The first two lines aren’t sarcastic. The third is, because what evidence have you got that multiple sexual partners are a bad thing? Are people who only have one sexual partner happier? Richer? Longer lived?
You are making assertions, not arguments. Let’s see some actual evidence to back up your assertions and we’ll talk.
Sure it’s fun until that HIV test comes back positive. Then you have the rest of your life telling yourself that it was freaking stupid to trade one experience of pleasure for a lifetime of health problems.
No doubt I probably agree with you on many other things; I think killing is bad, for example, likewise stealing, and I think that charity and giving is good. If you believe these things, I admit that you are right.
Assuming you’re a Christian, I hope you won’t use this argument again. And i’ll add my voice to the chorus in calling for you to respond to DocCathode’s posts - he’s another believer with whom I agree on some issues. I’d also like to point out again that your Leviticus cite does not say what you claimed it said - a case of you apparently disagreeing with believers, oddly enough.
Well I stand corrected then! (about the agreeing part although I doubt you are being serious). What Lev cite are you refering? Oh wait, I thought I never provided cites?
