I think online polls should have a minimum voting age

First, the fact that Breaking Bad got more votes than M.A.S.H. as the greatest tv series doesn’t worry me. I’m just wondering whether or not the BB crowd ever got to see anything better in their lives. In another poll, netters were asked who the greatest child stars were. No one voted any child star from the 70s and earlier. It was all Mac Caulkin, Halley Joe Osment, etc. No Marc Lester, Jack Wild, Shirley Temple or Jackie Coogan.

Morning kids!

Well, Anthony Hopkins is in the crowd that thinks BB is the best TV show of all time, so it’s hardly fair to complain about that…

And how do you suggest this be verified? That the voter go to his local police station…?

But I guess in the modern internet age this is not necessary–all kinds of online businesses such as Google have this data…

Because of course, there’s no chance anyone will simply lie about their age?

Include an additional poll question:

Should kids get off my lawn?
[] Yes
[
] No

I hear you OP. Why, I saw a poll on “the greenest form of transportation” and it was all Tesla this and hybrid that without a single mention of Nicéphore Niépce’s velocipede.

I’m 82 and I’ve never seen an episode of MASH.

Breaking Bad is better than MASH.

Are you Dagwood Bumstead?

I’m inclined to agree. I get that MASH* was groundbreaking in its day, but it strikes me as wildly caroming between juvenile and sanctimonious.

I think online polls need to allow only one vote per IP address. I’m looking at you, CNN.

I voted in that poll. “NO”, of course. All those “YES” votes conceivably could have, and probably did, come from a handful of people with too much time on their hands clicking away like mad.

The only polls that provide any useful data at all are selected at random from the population. Just ignore every other poll. All they will ever tell you is on what basis the respondents have self-selected.

Thanks, I needed the chuckle!

Yuck. MASH is terrible.

Was there no option for My Mother the Car?

Any poll about “The Best [media] Ever” that includes media from the past 5 years will be skewed that direction. Ignore it.

You can’t lie on the internet. Its against the rules.

I know this is true because I read it on the Internet.

Having seen both, I agree. And it’s not even remotely close.
