What makes you think they’ve got anything to do with MRAs? They don’t seem interested in anti-feminist, from a quick look over those sites, and I’ve never seen them linked to from any MRA sites either.
I wonder sometimes whether there are more wackos now than there used to be, or whether they’re just more visible due to the Internet.
It’s bad enough that they can associate with like-minded crazies more easily and that conspiracy rumors can be disseminated far more quickly than in the past.
However, I know this one weird trick that will render them powerless, just send me $50. Conspiracy theorists hate me.
Seems like wishful thinking to me.
It might be the other way around, actually. Amerika does blogroll In Mala Fide and Spearhead, two of the hardest-core anti-feminist sites.
You know what makes me an angry young white man? When people overuse/misuse the term alpha when trying to describe human social habits.
There’s plenty of of stupid and ridiculous propaganda presented in an uncompromising fashion from left wingers on the internet as well. I’ve encountered both far right wingers and far left wingers who think 9/11 was a conspiracy carried out by the U.S. government. Both sides seemed equally dismissive of people who disagreed with them.
Would it be a better world if everyone were as informed, intelligent, charming and dashingly good looking as I am? Of course. But high functioning idiots and mild lunatics exist, and it’s not terribly surprising that some of them would occasionally get together for a mental circle jerk where nobody makes fun of them. It’s probably better that they are doing it on a public internet forum than in a bunker full of ammunition in the Montana wilderness .
Considering the Internet’s ability to make past activities on there to haunt you for the rest of your life, if any of those bloggers (who usually would reject traditional Republican free-trade/interventionist stance incidentally) attempted to run for office or got appointed, Huffington Post, ThinkProgress, and the like would be on their asses within seconds.
It isnt that they breed faster, they just dont get an abortion when theyre pregnant
And this is frightening, because as everyone knows, current trends can be linearly extrapolated into the future. All children of angry conservative blowhards grow up to be angry conservative blowhards themselves.
This kid who gave a speech at CPAC a few years ago no longer believes any of the crap he spouted there.
I looked at those two sites and… well, ick.
it seems they think “pro-man” means “anti-feminist”?
the best men I know are also feminists.
thanks for the link, since I now know what MRA is. I had no idea - and the backlash has been going on for decades.
That magazine clearly never heard of the US Latino community and is more interested in pondering its own white christian evangelist navel.
