I want my Thomas'

sandwich size!. I need them to make eggs benedict. Also for cheeseburgers.
They disappeared from stores in my area sometime over last weekend.
Have they moved to China?
Peace,
mangeorge

I think this will do better in the nooks and crannies of Cafe Society.

Sorry. I’m getting a new eye exam tomorrow.

Are you nearsighted or farsighted? Maybe they’re still there but they look small.

No, MPSIMS must have looked like Cafe Society. Why else would I have posted the thread in MPSIMS.

Bays makes a superior English muffin. It’s yeastier. You can eat a Thomas’ raw, ferchrissake. A Bays muffin would taste raw unless you toasted it.

And with just butter or, if you must, butter and some jam or jelly. Doesn’t matter which; you are gilding the lily here and grape jelly works as well as anything.

I’ve seen those in the egg section. I’ll have to give them a try sometime. I really like english muffins toasted and slathered with butter and honey. Or (real) maple syrup. Or peanut butter.
But I’m not looking for chichi in this case, I’m looking for size, and the larger ones work better for eggs benedict. I’m sure the egg, Canadian bacon, and hollandaise sauce drown out any niceties of flavor in the muffin. I can’t remember the last time I ate a Thomas’ without toasting it

I’ve been mad at Thomas’ ever since they discontinued my cranberrry english muffins years ago.

I got some Bays on Friday. Pretty good, but as I asumed the taste difference is masked in Eggs Benedict by all the other stuff.
Where’s the cornmeal???

They still sell Thomas’ here . . . as well as crumpets.

I saw the regular size, in several flavors. Just not the sandwich size.

That’s a frustrating abuse of an apostrophe. I’d boycott them for that, if it were me.

Well, probably not, but it is very irritating.

I though Bays was lacking, and I’m not how Thomas’ should go. I assume both are possessive. I hate that confusing little tic.
Please, illustrate proper apostrophification.

It ought to be Thomas’s. I am upset at the increasing use of the possessive apostrophe’s lack of “s” that seems to be plaguing the English Language.

Rant over.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled wheat-based thread.

You’re lucky you don’t live near “Two Brother’s Beauty Supply.” I can’t help looking at the sign whenever I drive past, like a bad accident.
