As an Apple authorized tech, i have to say…
Meh… big frakkin’ deal…
once again, the Jobsian R.D.F. is in full effect, ues it’s a stylish looking, distinctively Apple implementation of the multifunction telecom device, and the cool factor/gadget factor is off the charts, but i just can’t work up any enthusiasm for this one
First off, it’s a bloody cell phone, and I HATE phones, you have to enter into a two-year contract with Cingular, and who knows what the monthly fees for that will be, heck, i barely use my basic Verizon cell as it is, in the past 3 months i’ve made maybe two calls on the thing, it’s for emergencies only
make an iPod Widescreen model (an iPhone minus the phone) and i’d be all over it, but as long as it’s got a cell phone in it, pass…, i’m not entering into a two year contract for the priviledge of carrying around a device i won’t use (the cellphone part, that is)
however, there are seriously cool features on the iPhone, the motion sensors, touchscreen, and the fact that it’s running OS X is killer, heck, all they need to do is scale up the size of the iPhone and they’ll have their tablet computer, now that i’d buy
