Ok, I aparently went to the wrong web site and now my home page is stuck on something that I don’t want it to be stuck on. :smack: Whenever I change it, it goes back. I think I found the application that stores that information, but I can’t seem to be able to make any changes to it. Any suggestions?
Using IE6 as an example, click Tools, Internet Options, and the Genreal tab should be right on top. Type in whatever you wish as a home page URL, click apply, and close.
Running AdAware and Spybot S&D would be a good idea, too.
If your homepage keeps getting changed back to something you don’t want, even if you change it yourself, you’ve got some kind of spyware issue. Follow danceswithcats’ advice on adaware and spybot.
As the above mentioned, if it keeps switching back you’ve got some kind of spyware. After cleaning with Spybot & Adaware I recommend using EMS Freesurfer. Its the best pop-up blocker I’ve used, its completely free and it has a lock home page function.
