Because I can’t get them at Trader Joe’s anymore, and it seems like almost everyone else over-sugars dried strawberries. Has anyone successfully dried thier own strawberries at home? I will borrow a dehydrator in fresh strawberry season, but I know they are cheaper if you buy them frozen. Furhtermore, fresh berries are so delicious I can’t imagine too many of them survivng to the dehydrating stage. Can frozen berries be dehydrated when they thaw? I aim to try blueberries also. 50 lbs of frozen blueberries barely lasts to October in my house.
