I was the victim of a mother-in-law drive by

My MIL stole all my husband’s money and his car. She tried to con my parents out of money. She is a nurse and was sitting with a dying woman and stole a bunch of it and gave some to me which I unknowingly accepted. Fortunately I did not get in trouble when someone came to collect, they were satisfied with taking it. I kicked her out of my house the last time she visited. And yes, she did try to critisize my house keeping despite the grime so thick on her own stove that you could not tell the original color. When I last visited my SIL my MIL tried to con my husband out of $500 and I had to threaten divorce for him to listen to me and not give her anything. If she tries to contact us I will involve the law. I don’t want her in the same state as me and so she is not to be told our address or phone number. If my husband begins communicating with her voluntarily I will divorce him.

Well, here I was smugly thinking my ex-MIL was worse than all of yours, until I read lee’s post. Mine wasn’t even that awful! I just had the BIL that kept needing money from us to bail him out of jail, and the husband kept doing it, until I divorced him. He might still be doing it, for all I know.
