I’m not sure if that’s a really hilarious joke, or potentially the most awesome thing EVER.
Either way, I might need to get my hands on a next-gen system at some point…!
I have done research! And apparently it is so. Excellent.
Sheeeeee-it. This may be the game that forces me to buy an XBox 360. (Seriously, no love for the Wii? You put Link on the last Nintendo Soul Calibur game. Put Luke on this one!)
Slight hijack, motivated by the fact that DV and Yoda are in different versions and cannot face each other: Why has there never been a Star Wars fighting game? That would be awesome.
There was one for the PlayStation called Star Wars: Masters of Teras Kasi, but it was terrible.
Yeah, that one is better left in the shadowy recesses of my weeping gamer mind. What a potential; what a disappointment.
However, what about the Jedi Knight series? Jedi Knight: Academy still gets som multiplayer play-time from me and my friends, and with the metric shitload of user-based mods and maps out there, it’s as good as it gets.
I do have hopes for the new game, though; Force Unleashed. It looks quite cool, though I haven’t heard anything about it’s multiplayer features yet.
Waiting eagerly…I’m desperately hoping for Xianghua to get announced, I really hope they include her…
Oh, man. I will not buy a PS3 on principle, but I’ve been thinking about a 360. This could be what pushes me over the line.
Heh. That’s the stuff that made me say, “There’s no way in hell I’m touching Soul Calibur 4 now.”
I won’t say I won’t touch it - I’ll almost definitely get a copy whenever I get around to getting a system to play it on, but it takes the shine off. My favourite thing about SC3 was that it didn’t bring in any licenced characters - the closest thing was Yoshimitsu and the ability to make KOS-MOS in the create-a-soul mode, but both of them are from other Namco games (and Yoshimitsu is a) technically not the same character and b) tied into Soul Cal canon properly).
Hmm. Looks like Taki and Ivy have upgraded their implants once again…
