This game is WAY better than I thought it would be. It’s amazing. It really brings me back to the old school after all these 3d fighters. It plays just like old SF but is much more forgiving in executing the specials.
really? I played the arcade and thought it was pretty crap. No one in Japan plays the game, EVER. It’s really weird. The new counter system (that, if it hits, stuns the opponent) is utterly and completely useless. The game is pretty, I just thought it was a complete joke when I played it, and it was ridiculously easy.
I’m glad to see they added a bunch of the old characters for the console release, though.
It’s alot of fun and plays smooth as silk for me online. The final boss is fucking ridiculous though. It took me 45 minutes to beat him on Very Easy mode and you need to beat him to unlock the second half of the characters.
I’ve been playing it for about an hour. Holy crap do I suck at this game! Even with the guide in front of my I can never figure out to do any of the higher special moves. For example: I can do Guile’s Sonic Boom and Flashkick, that’s it.
one of the specials is usually executed (when your special meter is full) by a double hadouken (down to forward, down to forward and punch) if that helps at all SOme of them differ, though, but good luck.
Guile has always been one of my favorite characters but I have never been able to do his ultra move with the double flash kick. Even on the older street fighters.
If you want characters that play like Guile try Blanka, Vega, and Balrog.
I’ve been using Vega to beat her, by doing just that, jumping around and such. Now, I’m not one to complain about my fiancee wanting to play video games with me, but I’m going to need to break her of her habit of picking the same damn character every single round.
I kind of get what you mean (we play a lot more quirky games than the average game board and we aren’t always up on the new releases because we’re adults) but what exactly do you mean?
