what band was aha in?
The Five Americans (response to the British invasion)
I sold a bunch of music Cd’s last year, does that count?
Not if you work in a music shop!
I’ll let you guys decide if this is for real or not:
heh heh. nope. I wrote the music.
For three years, I did a sketch comedy show with UT called The Campus Loop. The second two years we were broadcast to about 115 college campuses across the US, and received some pretty decent fan mail and had a few devout followers. Of course, we all graduated, the company sponsoring us went bankrupt, and I haven’t done much acting since. But I still get people asking me if I’m a medievil knight, and I just want to punch them (worst…sketch…ever)
I’ve given out thousands of autographs (some of which appeared on EBay) as a college basketball player, but that was less to do with my fame and more to do with the fame of the team.
So did he ever, like, do Elizabeth Montgomery?
Wow.
No, dear, you must be thinking of Dick York. Dick Sergent did Uncle Arthur.
Um… My cousin’s cousin’s cousin is Lionel Ritchie. How famous does that make ME? (Answer: not at all! I’ve never met the cousin’s cousin, much less Mr. Richie himself.) But it is fun to bring up in conversation on occasion, nonetheless.
I wasn’t asking anyone to reveal their identity. I was just wondering if anyone had any guesses. Apparently there is definate knowledge of a few.
It would be really cool if there are some elected or appointed officials high up on the scale here. Congressional or parlimentiary members, cabinet members and the like.
I’m really Nastassja Kinski.
Okay, I can claim that much fame. As I have posted before, Debbie Reynolds (“Singing in the Rain,” “The Unsinkable Molly Brown,” etc.) is my wife’s first cousin. That makes Carrie Fisher (“Star Wars”) my wife’s first cousin, once removed.
I have met Debbie but not Carrie. I have had dinner with Debbie’s parents (both now deceased) and with Debbie’s brother Bill.
If it makes you feel any better, jackelope, I got no attention whatsoever the last time I posted this.
For the intellectual and/or academic crowd: My grandfather was a college president.
Do porno movies count? I was Tom in “Twelve-inch Tom - The Terror of Titty Town”
Dick York was the first Darren, and Dick Sargent replaced him.
Uncle Arthur was played by Paul Lynde.
Shortly after I appeared on Jeopardy! (8 years ago or so), I was recognized twice in public. I am no longer even a little famous, which is fine with me.
Which brings up an interesting point. Anyone else here ever appeared on a TV Game Show?
h.
[sub]Oh, goody! I get to say it![/sub]
Whoooosh!
My grandfather on my mother’s side was Socrates.
