I would like to post a link to a free short story I wrote, and ask for feedback. Acceptable?

From searching the rules, it appears this is allowed if I get the appropriate moderator’s permission. So, can I post a link to my short story (including a download link, for those who prefer it) and ask for feedback? I assume this would go in Cafe Society. Thank you.

Sent this around to all the mods for discussion. We’ll get back to you.

I’m struggling to work out what the mods could possibly need to discuss about this. Here is a list (and it’s by no means exhaustive) of threads with a very similar idea. All were allowed to remain open, and a couple are almost identical to what iiandyiiii has requested permission for.

If iiandyiiii were a brand new member, and it was a for-profit story, or appeared as part of a for-profit campaign, i could understand some need for consultation, but surely this falls well within the normal amount of shared artistic expression on these boards.

Actually, every once in a while we discuss questions that appear to have foregone conclusions. This gives the staff the chance to be sure that all the aspects are considered along with letting newer members know how we arrived at previous decisions on similar questions. With three new Mods, it is helpful to review how we came to those earlier choices. In the meantime, TubaDiva has let iiandyiiii know that he is not being ignored.

The “decision” will be along pretty quickly, but it is the weekend and we would like all the staff to have the opportunity to participate if they wish.

iiandyiiii’s request was approved. mhendo, thank you for your concern.

Bad things always come in threes.

It’s a little like packing the Supreme Court.
But only a little.

So you mean they chose them in advance? I guess that explains the recent spate of bannings. I am now living in fear. :frowning:

Well, that explains the pubic hair on my thread.

No posting while naked people - this is supposed to be a classy place.

so where’s the link? o.p. is it like 50 shades of grey? maybe that’s why ‘approval’ was required.

Link.

thanks for that.
