His albums have the occassional good song, but it’s hard to believe he was once in the Stone Roses. Get his “Greatest Hits” and miss all the dross.

Some of his solo stuff is fine, but it’s hard to reconcile his and Squire’s work since the Stone Roses with what they did then. That album was such a bolt from the blue. Changed a lot of people’s lives.

//seriously most 80’s goth/alternative kids in the UK jumped ship about this time. The rave scene kinda died a death when amphetamines and happy hardcore turned out more profitable, sadly. Was great while it lasted though.
Well, this is a few more replies than I thought I’d get. I think Ian Brown has got the coolest voice and just his voice is going to make average songs sound good for me. He was in town here recently and I can’t believe I didn’t go. What was I thinking?
