Soft serve zebra stripe on a suger cone all day long please
I’ve always been a bowler and that won’t change.
Preferences of mine, yes.

Time, place, temperature, and greed are determining factors. If you own an ice-cream maker, why bother with extra containers? Just spoon it up.
Waffle cone, sugar cone is a close second.
But always, do the bowl first and then get the ice cream.
I was trying to remember what they called them at Baskin-Robbins when I was a kid (in the 1970s). Ascenray’s post in this thread suggests they may have just been “plain” cones. That sounds right, but I wouldn’t swear to it.
(I always got a sugar cone, because they taste way better, plus they really are cones. I don’t think waffle cones were available at Baskin-Robbins back then, but if they were, they cost extra.)
Both!
Love the crunch of a sugar cone (that’s what the dark brown pointy one is called, right?), but that means half of it drips on my hand. Especially because the ice cream spots I frequent (Babcock Hall, The Bent Spoon, Belt’s) tend to give you huge scoops.
So they give me a cone, top-heavy with Orange Custard Chocolate Chip or Strawberry Basil. And a bowl. I upend the cone into the bowl…
…Best of both (tasty) worlds!
