I cooked my to an internal temperature of 0F, but after I let them thaw for a couple of hours, I found that they were still raw. What did I do wrong?

I tried that, but I couldn’t get the thermometer in without breaking it, and now I have mercury ice cubes. Are these safe? They’re very pretty.

Don’t you know? Mercury is the most dangerous substance known to man. Call the EPA, a hazmat team, the CDC, and the movers (because you can’t live there now for approx. 500 years).

Nuke them for about a minute in the microwave and then they should come right out.

Just a note of caution - because of the hardness of the final dish, this recipe is not suitable for the elderly / those with dental issues. If you are cooking for these people please make sure to take them out of the fridge and let them completely thaw before serving!

This will take several hours at room temperature, but they will be more easily digestible when thawed and still retain that great flavor that everybody loves !
