It’s about 3 o’clock PST.
viewed from my computer here, the icons to indicate ‘old thread’ along the left column are replaced with the ones I think for profile, or quote usually at the bottom of a post. That icon itself looks messed up too, with black marks showing instead of the icon (or perhaps the icon with a black bkgd).
Anyone else seeing this ?
Nope. I’m using IE4, and everything looks fine. Are you using a different browser? Try to give us as much detail as you can, so we can ask the techs if this turns out to be a recurring problem.
Well, it’s gone now(4:50 PST), but if the techs want to work on it, I’m using Netscape 4.5 on a Win 95 machine. Looks like it was the ‘edit post’ icon that was looking funny at the bottom of the posts, and was the same one I saw for the ‘old thread’ (instead of a grey envelope, what looks like a book with a lightning bolt on it).
If it happens again, I’ll try to figure out whatever else I can at the time.

Oops, this one uses Netscape 4.7, not 4.5.
And upon closer inspection I realized that’s not a lightning bolt, it’s a pencil.
I had a problem like this once, but it turned out someone else had put an “Ad Buster” program on the computer.
Supposed to block ads, but also corrupted other pictures until we junked it.
The problem is Netscape.
We had this sort of situation before, the newer versions of Netscape just don’t care for vB. Every time Netscape upgrades, it necessitates another vB fix.
Not sure what to tell you. I suspect there’s probably fixes for these Netscape bugs in the upcoming vB upgrade, but I can’t tell you when (or if) we’ll install them.
In the meantime, can you use IE? That’s your best bet.
