I'd like to kill my roommate, but I'm afraid just doing it once wouldn't be enough

Okay, I can wait one more day…

I had a feeling that they wouldn’t be coming on Thanksgiving, but today I got a call from the officer who originally took my report. The videos show Dave, his girlfriend, and an unidentified third person cashing the check. Geez, if this idiot was going to rob a 7-11, he’d probably get his address book out so every person he knows could be implicated along with him.

Anyway, tomorrow morning for sure says the cop.

So are they gonna get the girlfriend too, or was she just there? (An accessory?)

It better happen before I leave for the weekend…I don’t know if I can deal with three days incommunicado without knowing how it went down.

Sure sounded like it from the way the cop was talking. I just need to find the piece of paper I wrote her plate number down on because apparently the other officer didn’t bother to copy it down when I left him a message about it.

I’ll let the cops know that jayjay from the Straight Dope Message Board told them to get a move on.

This is better than reality TV. I can’t wait until the bust.

Maybe you will wait a while.

Yanno, this is a wonderful metaphor for modern Judaism. Or for Millenial Christianity.

Just go with it.

AIUI both modern Judaism and Millenial Christianity are focused (more for the Millenial Christians) upon waiting for the (return of the) Messiah. Who will be here any day, now.

It’s starting to remind me of something else…

Poster A: Let’s go.
Poster B: We can’t.
A: Why not?
B: We’re waiting for Dave to get arrested.
A: Ah!

Pozzo and Lucky show up in the form of multiple hijacks. Then they leave, and the hijacks cease

Neutron Star shows up.

Neutron Star: The officer told me to tell you that Dave will get arrested tomorrow.
Everyone else: I guess we’ll come back tomorrow.

Talon Karrde, so you’re saying it’s a drama in two acts?

I still have the torches and pitchforks in my trunk. We can still go the posse route.

Yeah, we can cut him off at the pass.

[Hedley Lamarr]Cut them off at the pass? I hate that cliche![/Hedley Lamarr]

Robin

Yes, but a tragicomedy, not a drama.

That analogy only works if the Harrisburg PD is actually a hallucination that exists solely within neutron star’s mind, and those who share his faith.

I seriously doubt that’s the case.

I was thinking more along the lines of a Beckettian comedy, myself.

Anybody got a carrot?
