Here is another “ID the Song Title” game based on the lyrics, this time consisting of songs currently being heard on my MP-3 player. Here are your clues:
Each song begins with the letter A
the songs are listed alphabetically, with the first seven songs all beginning with the word A (e.g., A Day in the Life)
generally, these are songs from the 60s through the 90s by well-known artists (but not necessarily number one hits)
the same artist may be the singer of more than one song listed
the name of the song will NOT be found in the lyrics I have listed
Good luck! (And tell me what you think of my playlist).
“I bid farewell to old Kentucky, the place where I was born and raised”
“I know you have doubts, but for God sake, don’t shut me out”
“I made enough mony to buy Miami, but I pissed it away so fast”
It scares me baby. Does it scare you too?"
“Collecting sinners in an old tin cup”
“And your heart beats so slow, through the wind and driving snow”
“Cause he’s better than the rest, and his armsweat smells the best”
“He freed a lot of people, but it seem the good they die young”
“I seek to cure what’s deep inside, frightened of this thing that I’ve become”
“I was hoping for replacement, when the sun burst through the sky”
“It’s hard to say what it is I see in you”
“Holy Moses on the mountain, high above the golden calf”
“Out in Bethlehem they’re killing time, filling out forms, standing in line”
“God its so painful that something that’s so close, is still so far out of reach”
“Can’t you see, that I don’t know if its you or if its me”
“What can I do? I’m sleeping in this bed alone”
“She’s up above the moon. She whistles nonsense tunes.”
“I had excuses, those little boy lies”
“Sitting on a park bench, eyeing little girls with bad intent”
“They got a message from the action man”
“I count your eyelashes, secretly”
“Zebras are reactionaries, antelopes are missionaries”
“Well, they blew up the Chicken Man in Philly last night”
