When I was a kid, a hundred years ago, I read a series of novels, a la Tom Swift, Nancy, Drew, etc., that featured three brothers (possibly triplets) named Abercrombie, Benjamin, and Christopher.
I don’t remember much about any of the stories now, and I can’t remember the name of the series, either. A Yahoo search didn’t turn up anything relevant.
Three boys and a lighthouse (1951)
“Triplets Abercrombie, Benjamin, and Christopher spend a summer helping their father at his lighthouse.” Three boys and the remarkable cow (1952)
“When the County Fair is to be held near their home, the triplets work so that they may have a calf to show.” Three boys and a tugboat (1953) Three boys and a mine (1954) Three boys and a train (1956) Three boys and a helicopter (1958) Three boys and space (1962) Three boys and H2O (1968)
“The triplets, Gran, and an oceanography student set out in an old florist’s truck to visit the seaside and see the ocean, and learn about water, the ocean, and oceanography.”
