From this one scene, IIRC near the start.
A WWI era tank rumbles down a street, presumably in England. A number of policemen come out to stop it, one intrepid bobby gets mown down by the machine and crushed.
At this point my girlfriend changed channel, any ideas?

Could League of Extrordinary Gentlemen.
It was on satellite TV here in the UK recently, only in the past 2 weeks and the LOEG premiered a few weeks before, so its possible.
The film felt like LOEG from what I saw of the latter half of that film, but I’m not too sure.
