I was watching a Lawrence Welk rerun recently.

Yeah, that’s right.

And he mentioned that “Paul Wideman” had recently died, at least that’s how it sounded to me.

He also mentioned that the ABC program “The Hollywood Palace” returned (presumably for the new season) that night.

I think it originally aired in 1968.

Any ideas, based on these clues, what this person’s name was.
