One of the B-52 girls sang part of it, mostly toward the end, as I recall. I can’t find anything with Robertson and Cindy or Kate, though, so I could be confusing that with something else. I’m reasonably sure it probably mid to late 1990s, after “Somewhere Down the Lazy River.” Maybe it’s not Robertson, but I’m reasonably sure it was one of the B-52s, who also contributed some vocals.
Shiny Happy People by REM?
Thanks, but no.
Never mind, I misread the OP
Well, isn’t that embarrassing! I had thought that “Somewhere Down a Lazy River” had male background vocals.
I thought you were looking for Somewhere Down The Crazy River, not a song that came out after it.
So, it wasn’t “Candy”?
It did. From the lead singer of The Bodeans.
How doubly embarrassing! Sorry, Accidental Martyr, yes, you were correct.
Woo hoo!
Why do you always end up down at Nick’s Cafe?
I don’t know, the wind just kind of pushed me this way.
(That’s a really good album.)
