My roomate is desperately trying to remember the Artist and the title of the song. All that he remembers are the lyrics which went like “Spring time love is in the air, flowers flowing everywhere.”
Thanks in advance!

There are probbaly a million songs with lyrics like that cliched couplet. Air and everywhere are like bended-knees and please. Any chance of some more details to narrow it down? Genre, date, male/female, anything?
The first thing that came to mind when I saw those lyrics was the dreadful schmaltz-fest “Seasons in the sun”, and I’m ashamed that I know any of the lyrics.
I think it was a pop song sung by a male, in the 80s. I am sorry that its the only details I know.
Bump!
I think Blake got this one. “Seasons In The Sun” by Terry Jacks, male pop singer. Only it was released in the '70s, not the '80s.
That’s reminding me strongly of an Erasure song that I just can’t quite place right now. I’ll come back when I think of it.
Excep that that lyric was “Pretty girls are everywhere/Think of me and I’ll be there.” The OP lyrics sound more like that song in the Zale’s Jewelry ad: “Love is in the air…”
“Seasons in the Sun” deserves an award for “Most Treacly.” The original song was by Jacques Brel and the English translation was by Rod McKuen. Blah!
Is this it?
The song that sprang to my mind is the sixties song “The Rain, the Park & Other Things” by the Cowsills (often called “I Love the Flower Girl”).
Flowers in her hair.
Flowers everywhere.
I love the flower girl
Was she reality or just a dream to me?
I love the flower girl
Her love showed me the way to find a sunny day .
Probably not it, but it’s a song that sticks in your head.
The Cowsills version mentioned by jsgoddess was the one in my head.
I’m intrigued by your observation Beadalin, as I’m an Erasure fan and cannot place it. Time to spin some of the lesser listened to discs by Vince and Andy.
Thanks, Blake. I love reminders of really crappy songs that I’d desparately like to forget.
Thanks for all the wonderful replies guys. I will tell my roommate about the possible options after I get home later tonight.
I dont think it was “Seasons in the sun” because the lyrics dont match and the roommate says that hes pretty sure about the lyrics.
No they were not. There were several verses that, unsurpsiingly, had diffrent lyrics. One of those verses had the lyrics " Now that the spring is in the air. With the flowers ev’rywhere." ( http://www.lyricsondemand.com/onehitwonders/seasonsinthesunlyrics.html ). As you can see they are very close indeed to what has been half-rmembered by the OP.
Nah, that’s just Krokodil talking nonsense, ignore him, he’s full of it. As you can see the lyrics do match, almost word for word.
