Idaho?

I am seeing all this what not about other dopefests in other states but I have yet to see a single anything about Idaho, am I the only redneck with the internet here?

A long time ago somebody posted about moving to Pocatato-oops, I mean Pocatello, so maybe there’s another one out there.

There’s more than one person in Idaho?

I dont know…Its starting to feel like it!

Which river are you at?

I’m in Idaho.

Idaho can be a lonely place. Especially if your a born and bred city person. I look out my window and see fields instead of neighbor’s fences. But that’s not bad. There are days when I just want to be in San Francisco. I’ve lived here in southeast Idaho for almost twenty years but I still consider myself a Californian. I still think it’s odd when people say they’ve got a “new outfit” and they’re really talking about a vehicle.

Howdy, duke, I’m just over the Absarokas from your place.

As far as I can tell, I’m the only one here from Wyoming.

Quiet, ain’t it?

nods. I used to live in North Bay. San Francisco is the only city I’ve ever loved. I left my heart in… laughs.

I am in caldwell. That is next to boise…so yah…

Another Idahoan checking in here. I live in Eagle, just outside of Boise.

That reminds me of an old joke…

—Did Miss Issippi wear her new jersey? What did Dela ware?
—Idaho. Alaska.

I’m in NJ, but I luurrrve Idaho.

We honeymooned in McCall, Idaho. We absolutely loved it. We ranged from Boise up to Riggins. We paddled the several parts of the Payette and several parts of the Salmon. We’re putting a major Salmon trip together for a couple of years hence. I think it’ll be 13 river days! Woo!

I am a native of Idaho–born in Wallace, educated in the Silver Valley and a University of Idaho alumnus. I live in the small town of Osburn, about 75 miles east of Spokane and 120 miles west of Missoula, on I-90. There are a couple more North Idaho people who post to the SDMB, but I can’t remember their names now. I’ve told several friends and relatives about this board. A couple of them are lurkers (Hi Bea, Hi Beccy). I hope to see more Idaho Dopers check in.

Everyone south of me are considered Californians. Mona Lott is pretty much pushing the boundary.

Where are you at bare? I grew up in Kamiah.

I know a girl who used to yell that… ah, nevermind.

My favorite place in Idaho: Coeur d’Alene. Visited it once. Looks like a great place to live.

I can just about pee off my porch and hit either Brittish Columbia or Montana. With enough beer behind me I can sometimes wet down Washington State.

Grew up in Idaho, Challis for most of my life, with the last 3 school years in Boise, summers back in Challis. Now I live in SoCal, and can’t imagine moving back. Too cold and too conservative, among other things. But it is where I grew up, and I do believe it is the most beautiful state out there, so I do try and get up there to see people at least once a year. I know of only one other doper from Challis, anybody else one here from Custer or Lemhi county?

well if everyone in idaho wasnt so spread out we should try a dopefest. Just an idea.
