You call that an idea for a 25 minutes play which have 6 characters?
Split from other thread where it’s most inappropriate, moved to MPSIMS.
How about they are playing Russian Roulette? With six characters, it seems certain one of them will die. Guaranteed dramatic tension!
One of the characters must be a goldfish named Chekov. He can be portrayed by the actor sticking his head through the bottom of a table, with a “bowl” around his head. The climax has him stand up and walk to another part of the room.
You have no idea how funny I find it that in this thread we have an author in search of six characters.
Dammit. I was going to post that.
6 Angry Men?
Gilligan’s Island (after the other castaways fed Gilligan to the sharks).
How much you pay me?
You know who else had six characters, right?
I see them sitting around, totally not expecting the Spanish Inquisition…
Your six characters:
Antonina Maria Filbucci, prima ballerina for the Gran Vienne in late 19th Century Austria, just begin to realize she’s not as young as she once was.
Elmo “Deadeye” Whitford, just back from driving cattle to Montana, and trying to stay under the radar for those five men he shot in Pecos.
Dr. Sylvester Apfelheim, late 18th Century white-bearded alcoholic and vampire-hunter. Also a kleptomaniac.
Jocelyn Fitzhugh-Spenser, author of the famed Nancy the Nurse children’s series of the 1940’s, and secret cocaine addict.
Ahmed, your trusty camel dealer.
The Most Reverend Abbie Holliday, 23rd Century Televangelist and owner of the Pantasy Soap Company, and given to fits of incoherent babbling.
. . . and tonight the role of “Tuppy Spode, the 7th earl of Snodsbury” will be played by a narcoleptic dachshund.
Now, place them all together waiting for a table at a Chinese restaurant in New York City.
::The lights are low, there is a faint haze of opium in the air, and the Most Reverend Holliday has just put the mouthpiece of the hookah up to her face.::
…aaaaand - ACTION!
My sincere apologies to Shodan. It seems as if his post was exactly what the OP was looking for, since he signed off immediately after and hasn’t been back since.
