Ideas as wise as ground zero mosque

How about a Cyber Gaming & Internet Cafe two blocks from the Columbine HS.

I’m sorry to “explain the joke,” but you mean that in both cases it would be a misattributed cause to the tragedy, right? Video games didn’t cause Columbine any more than Islam caused 9/11?

BP Oil well at Ground Zero?

No? The ninteen men flying planes into buildingd in the name of Allah were Buddhists?

If you’re saying that these guys were [del]hijacking[/del] using their religion for political purposes, or that they have nothing to do with most people’s interpretation of Islam, fine. But saying 9/11 had nothing to do with Islam is ridiculous.

Good one.

Actually, I thought that would be a good idea. Build a mosque there instead of the “Freedom Tower”, along with a synagogue, Hindu temple, a Catholic church, an Anglican church, and so on.

That’s not a bad idea but I think I like the Jerry Falwell Memorial Abortion Clinic or the Michael Jackson Home for Wayward Boys better.

Why do I have the idea this thread is headed for a change of venue?

How about a shrine to victims of religious intolerance across the street from Republican national headquarters?

A learning center near Fox News?

It’s true that those responsible for the WTC attack have never claimed to be affiliated with Islam.

There’s this thing that describes what we’re doing…and it has nothing to do with intolerance, or bigotry. It’s a part of the human condition. But all subtlety is lost on the internet, and if something CAN offend, it will surely find the person it DOES offend.

Right next to the Army Surplus and Ammo CHEEP stores.

Indian Ocean waterpark with the world’s biggest tidal pool?

A shooting gallery at JFK’s national library?

A hot dog cart in front of John Wayne Bobbitt’s house?

Last, and I’m not sure which side would be most offended: A suicide prevention center next to a graveyard

Okay, that one got a lol.

Locally we have an assisted senior living center located on Cemetery Lane. They keep a mailbox, unused, on Babcock Blvd but the entrance and building front are clearly Cemetery Lane.

The schools ROTC program can meet at either one!

A Catholic seminary near an all-boys’ school. After all, if we’re going to blame all the members of a religion for the actions of a portion, then this would seem apt.

A memorial to the First Amendment at Republican National Committee headquarters?

I choose the Middle East during the years 2001-2008, when the United States of America killed hundreds of thousands of people.

I name a U.S. military base.
Is this an acceptably fun contribution to the game?

Holding the NRA convention in Denver 11 days after Columbine?

Oh wait, that already happened.

A Ryder truck rental location near the former Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building.

A shotgun wedding for Frances Bean Cobain.

Ow… hey, me, quit punching me.
