If it were me, I’d just end up telling them over the phone, but I’m like that. I didn’t do anything special to tell them when Mr. Neville and I got engaged, either. This is probably because all the ways of telling them that are being discussed here would most likely make a nice whooshing sound as they went right over my head.
I realized I never posted an update to this thread - thanks for all the suggestions!
We told the parents on Christmas Eve - took a picture of the digital pregnancy test, and put the pics in baby frames so that they can replace it with a picture of the baby eventually:). Everyone was thrilled (even FIL behaved himself and showed suitable excitement), so we were glad to do it that way. My only regret was that ElzaHub’s grandmother was also there, and I wish I had done a frame for her, too, as she was thrilled for us.
