There was one episode in particular I remember which had several skits about a team of policemen in different silly situations, especially one in which they were chasing criminals in their car – very slowly, if I remember correctly – and when they reached the state border they had to stop and admit defeat, while the criminals were in the other state just a few meters away. I’ve tried searching the transcripts, but there is a whole bunch of episodes featuring the “police department”, as I suspect the skit series is called. Anyone?
Alrighty then, while we’re at it what was the sketch with Dave Thing and Kevin McDonald where Dave Thing is trying to describe the movie he saw the previous night, which is very obviously Citizen Kane, and McDonald guesses it right away. For some reason this seems to stick in Dave Thing’s craw and he won’t admit that it’s Citizen Kane, and McDonald gets so annoyed he stabs him in the hand, whereupon Dave Thing starts trying to ask for what is very obviously an ambulance, but because McDonald is saying “Is it an ambulance you want?” Dave refuses to admit it’s an ambulance, and the same joke goes on again till McDonald stabs him to death?
Ah, Americans… Always the car chase.

Seriously though-- shouldn’t it either be “the other state just a few yards away” or “the other province just a few metres away?” Cussed blurry national boundaries! (Heh.)
How about this one while we’re on the subject, who can ID this one for me: Dave Foley is a doctor making a house call to a dying man. When he enters the house, Foley insists on taking his muddy shoes off, having a slice of pie, etc. whilst his patient is dying upstairs.
