So, I was perusing the Onion just now, and saw a quick bit on the front page labeled “Obituaries Inside”. Got a chuckle out of it, but full enjoyment was spoiled by my own ignorance…

The picture is on the right hand side of the page, about halfway down.

Going clockwise from the top left, the pictures are of Ronald Reagan, Yasir Arafat, Ol’ Dirty Bastard and… who? Who’s the guy with the moustache in the bottom left corner?

Not completely sure, but I think it may be G. Gordon Liddy.

It isn’t Liddy: The man has hair (Liddy doesn’t), and Liddy isn’t dead.

The “Dirty Bastard” reference is a clue: Russ Meyer?

I did a quickie google image search for G. Gordon and I don’t think that’s him in the onion article. I don’t know who it is. A search for Dirty Old Bastard comes up with some rapper, who is dead, but I don’t think that’s him either.

Ol’ Dirty Bastard is the name of the black guy in the bottom right of the four pictures.

Old Bastard = Reagan
Dirty Bastard = Arafat
Dirty Old Bastard = Russ Meyer
Ol’ Dirty Bastard = Ol’ Dirty Bastard

Oh, OK. He didn’t look that old, at least not when compared to Regan and Arafat. <searches> Looks like his parents named him Russell Tyrone Jones. I wonder how old he was before be got renamed Ol’ Dirty Bastard.
