I listened to a book review on the radio a while back about a book in which two people are murdered on a beach near the beginning of the story, and they lie there undiscovered for a long time. I’m not sure what sort of story it is, apart, I suppose, from describing the decomposition of their corpses, but as far as I know, there are no supernatural elements or anything. I’m curious to read this book - does anyone know what it’s called?

That’s the one. I read it a few years ago and was very impressed. Not for the faint of heart, a bit grisly at times, but overall a lyrical, time-shifting novel about love and death.
