Identify this song: ''What a liar. . . What a liar. . .''

I saw this question on “another board.” Here is the descripton:

Heard an old pop song on the heavy metal station tonight, something I’ve listened to for years but never knew the artist or title, even though I’m quite crazy about it.

Mid-70s I believe, and likely a one-shotter band. Raunchy, Grace Slick-like gal lead singer, and the chorus goes something like:

“Morning… morning… what a liar! What a liar! What a li-i-i-i-i-iar!”

Repeating guitar solo, at one point, segues off into the theme from one of those Eastwood spaghetti westerns.

Embarrassed not to know this one – I’m sure it was a big hit.

Could it be Little Liar by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts?

Gail
Sorry, but I don’t think it is “Little Liar” by Joan Jett.
That song was released in 1989 from the album “Up Your Alley” (which I own) and so I know that song very well. (Also play along with it on electric guitar).

I’m sure this isn’t it, but I immediately thought of “Liar” by the Henry Rollins Band.
