When I was a kid (late-'60s/early-'70s) I had a toy car. It was about 9" to 12" long. I think it was orange, and it looked like a ‘muscle car’ (a Dodge Charger of the era, or something like that.) It was electric, and ‘programmable’. The ‘programs’ were strips of (ISTR purple) plastic approximately 4" or 5" long and an inch or so wide, which had large notches cut into the sides. You’d put the ‘program strip’ into a slot in the front of the car and turn the car on. The strip would be taken into the slot as the car rolled, and the notches (or tabs, depending on your perspective) would control the steering. Thus the car would maneuver in a variety of patterns depending upon which ‘program strip’ was used. Circle, square, figure-8, or whatever.
Does anyone remember this toy, and can you tell me what it was?
