Identifying a movie from a short scene viewed as a child

I hereby summon the powers of the Dope to help me identify a memory from years ago. I was sitting in my gparents’ basement and one of my cousins was flipping channels. Two scenes got stuck in my head. I’ve identified one, but I’m not sure about the other.

Time: Mid 80s? Some sort of Dune movie was on TV (probably David Lynch), as the other memory is of the poison tooth scene, which I identified when I read Dune years later.

The Scene: A fat man is feasting on a large meal. My cousin laughed and said “Meatloaf”. I don’t know if he meant the singer, but I didn’t see anything from this list (Meat Loaf - Wikipedia). Some savage looking guy drops down the chimney into the fireplace. Savage guy kills fat man, rips out his heart, and sticks it in his own chest, which had been sewn closed with a thick leather strip or rope. Then my cousin changed the channel.

Any ideas? I don’t know if it was a show or movie.

If your misremembering a whole bunch of the details, it might be Rocky Horror Picture Show. He does get killed (and eaten) in the movie.

You might want to take a look at the TVTropes entry for ripping out a still beating heart it see if anything rings a bell.

Good guess; I thought that for a while as well, but then got around to watching it. Not it.

Hmmm…do you remember how the Savage guy kills the Fat guy?

He places the man on the table and chops down with a cleaver. You don’t see the killing blow, only the shadows on the wall of the knife coming down.

I’m pretty sure that was a “Tales from the Crypt” episode.

Is it Tales From The Crypt-“What’s Cookin’”?

Alas, no. Diverting though that was, it didn’t contain any heart recycling or down-through-the-chimney antics.
