Good bump, RTFirefly. Now that I know what this is all about, I’ll have to go back and take a look at all the Dip threads that have gone before. When are we getting our own forum?
And incidentally, is anyone planning on getting another game started up any time soon? In this thread last year, some people talked about running games, anyone interested in doing that?

…so I should mention that there’s an active thread in MPSIMS dedicated to current SDMB Dip games, recruitment of replacements for dropouts from those games, and recruitment of players for new games when they begin.
Persons interested in playing Dip against other Dopers, or kibitzing the ongoing games, should go to that thread.

For everyone’s knowledge (and my own peace of mind):
I am not currently soliciting players for any games of Diplomacy. This is an old thread. While I appreciate the interest shown in the game if I’d started enough games to match the demand I’ve seen since this thread got bumped I would have to quit my job and so nothing except GM Dip games.
Which would be fine if each player is willing to toss in 5 grand, I guess. But for some reason I doubt that’s going to happen.
Again, in short: there are no Dip games currently forming that I am going to run. Perhaps some others will. Just the thread RT linked up there.
Or, if you really want to get into a game I suggest you go here.

Please check post dates before responding to posts in this thread and other Dip threads, to make sure you’re responding to a current Dip player recruitment effort, rather than one that transpired months ago.
And, just to keep this as a valid Pit thread, don’t you just hate it when players in Dip games repeatedly miss move deadlines without letting the GM know in advance that there’s a problem? It genuinely sucks for all concerned, IMHO.
