At some point in time several months ago I read his bio as someone that the CoS had screwed… But I don’t recall the ShamWow segment. It was a long list, I may have just skimmed the first couple paragaphs.
I laughed when I heard about it in the first place, the whole ShamWow guy gets busted for prostitution… But now I feel sorry for the guy. And I’m not usually a tin foil hat wearer but the story does kinda smell a bit fishy.
In any case he is a rich dumbass, 800 dollar rooms and a grand for a hooker… Yup, a dick… But to be screwed by the CoS in the past, well, I feel sorry for him in that sense. Hope this blows up in their faces eventually.
Oh now, if you had a zillion dollars as a self-made man you’d stay in luxury hotels too, and that price is not outrageous for a hotel room. That’s like low-rent for rich people.
And they say something or other like men often go to prostitutes because they’ll go away after the sex: no long drawn-out flirty games to play beforehand, and no romantic entanglements after the semen dries. I don’t think those things make him a dick. And it’s not even like he’s married or anything. As far as I’ve heard, he’s not.

I missed the edit window. Of course it’s outrageous for me and maybe you. I’m a person who thinks a YMCA or hostel room is good enough, but then, I’m not rich. If you have lots of money, it’s not outrageous. We once got bumped off a flight and the airline put us up in a nice hotel. The only room they had was probably somewhere in that price range or somewhat less. Boy it was nice to feel how the other half lived, if for only one night. That was a couple of decades ago. I’m sure airlines wouldn’t do that now.

You have to figure out what kind of a hooker was she. $1,000 bucks is an extremely large sum to pay for sex. A thousand for a regular prostitute usually means an overnight stay (or 8 hours).
Prostitutes will not cooperate with cops because they usually have other legal problems. You could be risking the cops looking too deeply into things you’d rather the cops not know about like drugs. Cash for sex = DRUGS
I know people that have gotten teeth broken because of tongue stud “earring” or whatever you call them when they are in your mouth. If she had one it’ could’ve caught on to him and because they were both using alcohol it got out of hand. You see how panicky people get in a Chinese finger trap.
Despite all the romantic movies where the “hooker with the heart of gold,” is only doing it to get through college, in truth, prostitutes do this to get money for drugs, or for drugs themselves.
Perhaps he was selling them or using them.

Many times people who need money for drugs turn to prostitution, however those who are professional, nice looking, smart ‘escorts’ or ‘companions’ or whatever they want to call themselves (still sex for money), do it because it’s good, easy money.
This simply isn’t true.
Perhaps you’re speculating based on a false premise.
Or, because Cops just don’t like hookers, and people who do illegal things for a living don’t like cops.
Often times, one illegal thing and other illegal things go hand in hand. However, the majority of… this class - expensive - sexual service sellers are not doing it for drug money. They’re doing it for a living, and a damn good one at that. This girl could’ve been making 200,000 a year, tax free, with a 5 night a week job that she might enjoys the hell out of, with repeat customers, it’s more likely that she enjoys it, depending on the type of sexual servicer she is. And she gets two weeks (admittedly non-payed) vacation for her 200,000 a year. And, once again depending on the type, she gets to go on fancy trips.
No, I don’t know this from contracting services, I know this from being friends with more than one ‘hooker’ in my life time – from different walks of life.
