The Village Voice recently having come under new ownership, the New Times Media chain, it is undergoing a shakeup. The new executive editor, Michael Lacey, has just fired James Ridgeway – the paper’s star reporter for the past 30 years. The one who, back in the early ‘60s, exposed General Motors’ surveillance of Ralph Nader. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Ridgeway Several reporters have also resigned.
