Golly! This week’s Village Voice has a fanciful memo by Giuliani to himself that makes the Village Voice sound just a little mean and frustrated. They’ve really got their knickers in knot about ol’ Rudy. Why can’t we all just get along.
One of the reasons I quit reading the VOICE and started reading the NEW YORK PRESS is that, if I’m going to read self-indulgent, poorly-written, badly-reasoned horse shit before I get to the club listings and movie times in the back of the paper, I’d rather read it by right-wingers than left-wingers. That way I can feel all smug and superior.
Wow. That’s seriously harsh stuff. I reckon it does say something about the country’s short memory when when it comes to current events.
I remember when Giovanni … er, Giulliani(sp) first took office. I didn’t care for his “reforms”. Well, he keeps things going on the path he started and then suddenly, due to a disaster, he can do no wrong.
