It’s all in context. I don’t think many women get married in Pippi Longstocking pigtails.
I say if you have to put it up, do a bun or a braid. The swoopy la-tee-da’s reek of too much effort.

I really could care less about my SO’s hair. I know that’s not the attitude women want. Supposedly, my opinion matters to her and such, but to tell the truth, it all looks good on her. Maybe long hair will tickle me a different way that a short hairstyle will, but it all looks great and I tell her that.
I would hope a girl would do her hair more for herself(to look formal, traditional, etc.) than for me.
She is thankful/ (as am I) if it is noticed…
poor women.
Gee, yes you’re right. Shallowness simply doesn’t impress us that much.
I usually buy them a dress, accessories & shoes & tell them just how to do their hair, so yes, I like it when they do their hair so it artistically coordinates with the rest of the stuff
I have to agree with those that say men mostly like long hair, and mostly don’t like change, and with skeptic_ev. That said, I’m one of those that have trouble noticing when my wife has done something to her hair, and she has great hair. Do whatever makes you most comfortable.
Dogface, your posts always impress me with their maturity and tact.
You can put me down as one who finds those formal, “put up” hairstyles far less attractive than the more natural, long hair hanging free, look.
