Well?
I for one hope that it involves monkeys.
How should Gore concede?
Quickly. Doesn’t he know The West Wing is on?
Thank you! I’m glad I’m not the only one who was thinking that.
[sub]grumble grumble[/sub]Spend all week looking forward to a new episode and it gets postponed [sub]grumble grumble[/sub]
He should do it exactly like he DID do it. That was amazing. And this coming from a mostly-Republican.
Exactly as he just did. I was moved.
You could tell it wasn’t easy, with the forced smiles.
I felt sad.
I’m a Gore supporter, and voted for Gore, but I just don’t get what all the fuss was about with his speech. Russert and everyone were saying that it was the best speech he’s ever given. I thought it was average at best. While he was talking, I kept thinking that, yes, written down it probably reads really well, but it just wasn’t a speech speech.
Does anyone else think so? You could tell that it was difficult for him, but I also felt that he was still removed from the emotions of it.
On the other hand, I was really worried about what Bush would say, especially since it was in the Texas legislature. I really hoped that it didn’t turn into an applause machine. I was incredibly impressed by him. I really was. All election long, I could do nothing but laugh at GWB and his awkwardness, but he really has pulled it all together recently. You can barely see the stings.
