Quite true. I would like to know if the democratic party is in fact actively organizing protests at republican events. The OP has given us evidence that the republicans are doing it; is there anyone here active in the democratic party who can step up and give us any insight here? I ask not out of partisanship (I am, after all, a rather unenthusiastic republican at the moment), but simply out of curiosity: if democrats are not organizing protests and disruptions of republican events, I want to know WHY NOT?

Perhaps I should. When I made my original post here I didn’t consider it to be so much an accusation as an observation… but I can see how it would look otherwise. (see how easy this all is if people would just quit foaming at the mouth and try to see each other’s viewpoints?)
So… what would you have me do, Otto? When I post something, and somone comes by and makes a post such as friend lissner’s gracefully calling my attention to the fact that I may have knee-jerked, what would you have me do?
I see three options:
- Ignore that post.
- Dig in my heels and argue vehemently for my original position (admittedly, I see people do this all the time in these fora, but I see no use in it).
- Be a reasonable, open-minded person, and acknowledge the other poster’s point (this is what I attempted to do).
