How very Republican.
The Minnesota Republican party really has been taken over by an extremely juvenile and petty gang. This isn’t the first example of it I’ve seen, and I’m sure it won’t be the last.
What does this have to do with being Republican?
I’m guessing it’s the OP’s opinion that it’s typical behaviour of a republican.
To be pedantic.
(me. Not the republican)
Actually, the Republican thing to do is to get the word out, but never, ever put it in an e-mail. It just blows your plausible deniability out of the water.
This isn’t very nice, but I think there’s an even better recent story about Minnesota Republicans. Apparently, at a recruiting event, College Republicans displayed the names of all the 9/11 victims with a sign saying: “The Result Of Eight Years Of DFL Foreign Policy.” And when asked if they were blaming 9/11 on Dems, the CR chair said… Yes!
Yes, all Republicans, everywhere.
Which way to the SDMB, BTW? I seem to be lost.
Because Republicans have let their party be taken over by right-wing “Win at any cost, Lie-Lie-Lie, then Lie some more, Democracy-be-damned, the Republican Noise Machine will save our ass” types, and it’s on their heads.
Not all Republicans are like that, and good for them, but they choose to remain in the party. Until they take their party back and throw the right-wingers out on their ass to form their own damned party, good, decent, democracy-loving Republicans are going to be associated with this crap, just as they were when Nixon was President.
I am sure that the OP meant “Almost all Republicans except for a few who should be Libertarians and Democrats anyway.” To be nuanced and all.
Anyway, I thought we were in the Pit. Fucking Republicans, they’ve really fucked up the country. I hope they’re all reincarnated as toilet paper rolls.
I am so not surprised.
Hear fucking hear!
Pretty scummy…
But not all that different from what some groups of democrats have been doing, is it? Seems to me I’ve seen plenty of people disrupting or attempting to disrupt republican to-dos recently… and I’m almost certain that most of them weren’t republicans (possibly should have been, but there ya go!).
Were they acting as individuals, or responding to a call from a representative of the Democratic party?
That’s a good question. I don’t know… I doubt that they were simply acting on their own without any organization, but I have no evidence saying that they weren’t either. shrug
The organization of a group of likeminded individuals is one thing; instructions from an elected official is entirely else.
So then you’re a child molester.
I mean, I have no evidence saying that you are, but I have no evidence saying that you aren’t either. shrug
Didn’t we just go through this like, a week ago with Hastert pseudo-labeling George Soros as a druglord?
Perhaps you should refrain from making accusations with no information to back them up?
Otto, have you lost your goddamned mind? Astroboy made no accusation–he said that he didn’t know if the activists were acting on their own or on orders. For you to respond with your hysterical hyperbole, especially that child molestation shit, is despicable.
Astroboy is a child molester? Boy, I’m glad I found out about that!
I thought Otto made his point very nicely.
