You’re missing my point. Bernie Sanders is no more for gun rights than Chuck Schumer or Dianne Feinstein. And trying to make him out to be is text book “The Big Lie”.

No, you don’t get to play the “both sides do it” game with me. Proposals that merely nudge our policy towards those of major European countries get Republicans screaming socialism.

Oh, well, if I don’t get to do that…
Wait! Sure I do! Because in this case it’s true, and even if it wasn’t, I can play any games I like anyway. You, however, aren’t allowed to play ‘let’s build a strawman’ game (I have thus arbitrarily decreed it!), since I didn’t say anything about Republicans OR nudging our policies one way or the other, nor was that even the gist of my post.
I don’t give a flying fuck what he’s called. He’s not advocating the socialization of the means of production or distribution, so he’s not a real socialist IMHO. He’s a liberal with pretensions. And regardless, that wasn’t my point either.
I DID think that the colonel sanders thing was funny, but I’m willing to concede that it probably didn’t even get a small smile from anyone. Oh well…c’est la vie.
The rest are in the 30% and below range, and I wouldn’t vote for them if my life depended on it, which it does, and which is why they could never get my vote. On anything.
The first link goes to Matt Vespa at townhall.com. If you’re so far right that you consider him leftist, you probably might want to avoid the media altogether.
This is yet another reason I’d like to see a Schweitzer candidacy: I’d love to see how the NRA would justify the inevitable F rating they’d give him. Because at this point, it’s pretty much a foregone conclusion that they would.
