If Biden picks a female VP over a male, will he lose?

Do you really think America is ready for a female vice president? Yea, we have Nancy Pelosi as House Speaker, but most Americans don’t care for her.

If Biden picks a female VP, could he lose?

America has never had a female in the executive branch.

Mondale-Ferraro lost. McCain-Palin lost. Hillary Clinton-Kaine lost.

America is sexist, they like men, like Bill Clinton-Gore, Obama-Biden, etc.

Is he making a mistake?

Flagged.

Hillary Clinton did not loose because she was a woman; she lost because she was Hillary Clinton.

Biden won’t lose any votes over this. The men who are scared of women were already voting for Trump.

The people voted for her. She lost because we have a rigged political system.

Biden is the most guaranteed-to-win Democratic candidate since Clinton in 1996. He could pick a cobra for his running mate and he’d still beat Trump by a hundred electoral votes.

Biden already committed to a female running mate back at the start of the year. Unless you get a committee of the top 12 most influential female Democrats in the land to have a joint press conference to announce “America, we should not hold him to that”, he’s gonna have a tough time not doing it.

Please, no. Everyone, stop that.

Yes- if the election was honest, Joe would win hands down.

But the GOP and Kremlin are gonna do anything and everything to steal the elections; big lies and scurrilous accusations (Larry Correia has posted a faked and edit vid on Facebook to say Joe is a pedo), voter intimidation and suppression, out and out fraud.

The Female Veep will just help Joe.

He’s already said he’s picking a female VP. HIs age is a factor, though. I often find myself thinking if voters may reject the idea of voting because they don’t want Harris/Abrams/Warren as a possible president for a year or two.

Me? No problem. He can pick Satan as his VP and it won’t change my vote.

The OP sounds exactly like the people who in 2008 insisted the country was not ready for a black president.

Obama was right for that time.

He did not have any baggage.

Hillary Clinton spoiled it for women, just like how Donald Trump and George W. Bush will spoil it for white male businessmen, hence Bloomberg.

For the entire history of this country, being black has been baggage.

Obama didn’t have baggage.

He was not Sharpton, Jackson or Alan Keyes.

He was also not obsequious, purple, or clairvoyant.

I thought he had that whole being born in Kenya thing?

Um… no… Biden will not be allowed to choose Trump as his VP

The first two female VP candidates were desperation moves made by long shot candidates. Biden is currently the favorite and is working from a position of strength.

I can’t even wrap my brain around the sentiment in the OP. Seriously?

As somebody above said, people who are scared of a woman in power are already voting for Trump.

I agree, but it’s more complicated than that. The reason that “being Hillary Clinton” contributed to her loss is rooted in the fact that that people started vilifying her for misogynist reasons way back in 1992. She did not conform to societal expectations for a woman and then first lady. That was instrumental in her becoming the Hillary Clinton that people still hated in 2016.

But ultimately, you’re right that she did not lose simply by matter of her gender. Other factors were far more important.

No, a lot of GOP voters want Nikki Haley or Kristi Noem in 2024.

As people have repeatedly asked in your other threads…

Cite?

And someone pointed out to you that this isn’t a place for your opinion, unless it’s backed by facts. This is not a message board where we just want to hear “what people think about stuff”. We want well-thought-out analysis, backed up by fact-based articles and legitimate studies.

So, unless you can prove that “a lot of GOP voters” want Kristi Noem as President in 2024 (hint: your answer would have actual numbers, many with % signs), it might be best to wait until you do.
