This is not a shameless attempt to be included with the popular people. This thread is in fact a scientific investigation attempting to determine whether or not I could be included in the “How Many Dopers Thread” just by creating my very own first thread which is indeed only about that other thread that I am not a part of.
I must admit that I have lain awake at night dreaming of the perfect first post, like the watch I had stuck at 8:46 of friends you have seen on PBS or the difference between orange. But, sigh, I will try this important experimentr again.

The proximity is nice, I admit. That’s a bit like being outside the stadium while the game is on.
There were names I left off my fairly long list just because I didn’t have a clue on how to attack spelling them. Yours might fit in there once I get to know you – how do you pronounce it? Also, my list included a handful of people who might be considered, politely, the opposite of “popular”.
If this tail-gating party has good food and strong drink, I’ll hang out here until the final whistle and beyond.
As a recovering vegetarian, I promise the food to be delectable. Blackened Tilapia, shrimp kabobs, gallons of spicy black beans with jasmine rice and everything overspiced with the hot pepper collection straight from the garden. As to drink, I favor the Glenlivet French Oak Cask and ceveza studimente gelado! (beer so cold it’s stupid, preferably Antarctica from Brazil)
My handle is (ke boy dal) with the accent on the second syllable. It is the result of a friend whose penchant for for the evolving nickname developed that from the initial Mikkel Pud.
Wouldn’t bet on it. I’ve started tons of threads and have an easy-to-pronounce, memorable name, and not one single person has named me.
