Because they’re INQUIRING minds. Not ‘sometimes curious…maybe’ minds. They must know.
It just seems that incorporating “sock puppet” into your username is just inviting abuse. Like if I were to change mine to “superbee Hitler”…y’know? Too flammable…
The mods or admins probably won’t like the name and they reserve the right to refuse it’s admission to the boards.
After all, sock puppetry is very much frowned upon, so have a name that shouts ‘look at me’ won’t be taken kindly.
Of course, if you changed it to Blackeyes Troll … nah.
Don’t change it, or at least not to the one you want to. It’d really start some not so great conversations.
