You know, you’d think that wouldn’t be a porn site. But of course it is.

Pesident Vincente Fox and other members of the Mexican government are issuing emergency orders for the distribution of flyers and creation of websites containing rules and FAQ’s about operation Rover Rojo, and how to avoid it.
Caches of bactine, polysporin, and bandaids have been placed along the border in case any other crossing attempts should result in any minor abrasions.
The first day of operations has repelled hundreds of border crossing attempts. One US soldier was injured when his right index finger became dislocated from the impact of a border crosser. The solder holding his hand was not injured, and the injured soldier was airlifted to the army medical center in Dallas for treatment and awarding of his purple heart.

That’s my guess. I’ve gotten my hand slapped for hyperbole, even in response to some of the most virulently anti-Semitic comments I’ve ever seen here. It was made quite clear to me that such words and phrases were not welcome here. Yet here we have a moderator posting such a phrase with two other moderators commenting and neither of them said a word.
I assume you’re talking about this post? Don’t know what to tell you there. I wouldn’t have warned you for that, but then again I wasn’t a mod back then. The hate speech rules have been very controversial and we’ve had many discussions on where to draw the lines and how to define it since then. I suspect different mods still have slightly different takes on what is or isn’t over the line. We’re likely never going to have perfect consistency on something so charged and subjective.
Similarly, I wouldn’t warn anyone for using racist speech in obvious hyperbole as samclem did. He enjoys no special protections as a moderator. Hell, we’ve pretty much all agreed to ban him outright the next time he’s slow coming back with the coffee.
That’s the one. I have no particular objection to the hand-slap I got, and I have no objection to the use of such when it’s essential to the hyperbole, but all the same, this kind of stuff is what makes people unhappy. Yes, I know, it’s a damned-if-you-do sort of thing, but inconsistency just opens the door for the types of major criticism that you guys have faced recently.
Ladies and Gentlemen … and uh, the rest of you … I give you: Anne Coulter’s ghost writer!
I recognize that inconsistency can be very frustrating. At the same time, though, the board is a constant work in progress, and part of that is sometimes reevaulating and modifying the rules. The hate speech rule is a perfect example of that, as various enforcement actions have provoked a fair amount of debate about what is and isn’t reasonable to restrict. I view this as a good thing. But we can’t adapt in response to poster feedback and still remain perfectly consistent with the past, by definition. As to whether this opens us up for criticism, I don’t know. I don’t see how, personally.
The OP, while funnier in concept than in execution, is a parody of a parody; the “greasy wetback” crack–while open to misinterpretation–is clearly not meant to represent samclem’s own attitude, but the attitude of the “journalist” being parodied by the “fake news outlet” being parodied by samclem.
You just had to say that, didn’t you?
The Guard wouldn’t send the Mexicans back. They’d sign grab them, sign them up, and send them off to Baghdad.
Hey, worked for the British in 1812.
