MSNBC is reporting that a number of suspicious packages have been found near the Capitol, one in or near a Congressional office building, and one in the Library of Congress. One of them has been identified as an IED.

You’re missing the point, which is that Trump himself was/is a symptom of Republican anti-democratic behavior and rhetoric. They thought they could use Trump and his voters to get their tax cuts, their judges, their deregulation, and to crush unions, and he served them well, baggage and all; they just didn’t understand that sometimes, when you tie that dog leash around your hand, that barking mad dog might just be so aggressive that it darts off and drags you with him.
It’s unclear how this impacts the Republican party, or for how long. Nobody knows at this point. But there are a lot of Trump voters who are living in an alternate reality and mad as hell. They’re not any less mad now, despite what happened.
